I was honored to win an Honorable Mention at the Chesapeake Watershed Photography show at the Maryland Federation of Art show at the Circle Gallery in Annapolis. The award was for this shot of a marsh near Taylors Island on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

If you've never had a chance to visit the Circle Gallery, it's a really great little gallery located right off of State Circle, across from the Maryland State House.

For those in and around the Annapolis area, you may know that a new Whole Foods opened recently at the Annapolis Town Centre. I'm pleased to announce that I have ten permanent installations in the new store, including two large black and white prints. It was a lot of fun working with the talented crew over at Whole Foods. They did a fantastic job decorating the store with local touches that make you feel right at home in the Chesapeake region.

And several others are scattered throughout the cafe and in the produce section.

As I mentioned in my last post, I was recently asked to join the Studio 7 Artists group in Annapolis. I participated in my first Studio 7 event at the new Westin Hotel and it was a great success - lots of people and some fantastic photography.

I'm very pleased to announce that I've been asked to and have accepted an offer to join Studio 7 Artists, an extremely talented and diverse group of Annapolis artists. As a member of this group, I'll be a part of a number of shows and events in the coming months. More importantly, I'll be able to collaborate with some very creative people whose talents range from watercolor to mixed media to pottery.

Look for me to post new Studio 7 shows as they are announced.

I'm very excited to announce that a collection of my photos will be on display at the Annapolis City Hall building during the month of March. Also, there will be an artist's reception on March 10, from 5-7 p.m. The collection will include a number of images I had at my Cafe Guru's viewing, plus some new photos I haven't exhibited before. City Hall is located at 160 Duke of Gloucester Street in downtown Annapolis.

I wanted to take a second to thank everyone who came by my artist's reception at Cafe Guru's - especially those who bought a print or two. It really was a special evening. It was great to catch up with a lot of friends, new and old. I also wanted to thank Marie, Cafe Guru's owner, for allowing me to display my prints and for allowing me to host this special event.

Just a reminder to those who haven't had a chance to swing by the Cafe - my prints are up all of February. Also, in case you missed out on buying a print before it got sold, anything that was sold that night can be reprinted at any point. By the way, I highly recommend the breakfast sandwiches at the Cafe.

I'm proud to announce that I'll be hosting an artist's reception on February 9th in Annapolis at Cafe Guru's, a small coffeehouse in the Eastport community of Annapolis. The reception will last from 6-9 p.m. and will feature framed selections from my gallery, as well as a number of signed and matted prints for sale. My photos will actually be on display the entire month of February - so, if you can't make it to the reception, there's plenty of time to swing by, grab a cup of coffee and see my photographic offerings.
